Blog Post Amazon Summit Bangkok 2025

A month ago, I had the opportunity to attend this powerful event, where I could share what’s trending and where the money is flowing.

The summit was divided into several zones:

  • Panel discussions.
  • Meetings with Amazon managers from across regions.
  • Product showcases in AI, cloud, healthcare, education, sports, and more.

Amazon delivers impressively – from Medical Care solutions to AI-powered drone analysts in football.

💡 Launching an MVP? Be sure to research whether Amazon or another GAMA player (Google, Apple, Meta, Amazon) has already covered your idea. Otherwise, you might not even get a chance to enter the market. And if you’re aiming to compete or exit via M&A with GAMA, be ready to raise funding in the billion-dollar range to match their speed, coverage, and pricing strategies.

Partner Zone was another highlight, featuring Amazon’s major clients and business partners presenting their latest products and features.

So, what’s trending right now?

  • Cloud Solutions. From private to hybrid infrastructures, with a strong focus on data protection for sensitive client information.
  • AI Automation. Unified AI systems tailored to specific business needs, streamlining processes with AI agents and bespoke solutions.
  • Security. A hot topic – think: secure databases, phishing/parsing alerts, sensitive data labelling, protected servers, and more.
  • Migration Services. Helping clients switch from one tool to another with minimal cost and zero data loss – a growing niche with huge potential.

As a Summary!

It’s clear: optimisation, automation, and migration to more agile models are leading the way.
After benchmarking, most showcased companies reported millions and even billions in revenue, with 2–3x annual growth rates.

💡 If you’re building a tech startup, focus on simplicity, convenience, all-in-one tools, AI stack integration, advanced data security, and smooth migration capabilities.

Startups – take note!

Amazon offers a variety of support programs – from mentorship by senior executives to AWS credits and even strategic investment.

But remember – once you’re under Amazon’s umbrella, a significant portion of your share capital may belong to them, and your autonomy could be limited by a board that doesn’t include your founding team.

So yes – there’s quick access to capital, but not all fast money is smart money.
